Cretacolor Pastel Carré Hard Pastels are unfired, oil-free pastel crayons made with full pigmentation for brilliant color and special lightfastness. The colors can be mixed together, smudged, and painted with water, giving artists plenty of flexibility for both dry and wet techniques. Fixation is necessary after use.

The square Carré shape lets you use the broad side for larger areas and the edges for sharp lines and precise contours. They can also be combined with Cretacolor Pastel Crayon Pencils and other media.
