Cretacolor Pastel Carré Hard Pastels are unfired, oil-free pastel crayons made with full pigmentation for brilliant color and special lightfastness. The colors can be mixed, smudged, and painted with water, making them versatile for both dry pastel work and water-based techniques. Fixation is necessary after use.

The square Carré profile provides broad sides for laying down larger areas of color and defined edges for sharp lines and precise contours. Pastel Carré can also be combined with Cretacolor Pastel Crayon Pencils and other materials.
