Cretacolor Pastel Carré Hard Pastels are unfired, oil-free pastel crayons made with full pigmentation for brilliant color and special lightfastness. They can be mixed, smudged, and painted with water, allowing artists to move between traditional pastel work and water-based techniques.

The square Carré profile provides broad sides for covering larger areas while the edges create sharp lines and precise contours. Pastel Carré can also be combined with Cretacolor Pastel Crayon Pencils and other materials.
