Gamblins Cold Wax Medium is made from naturally white, pure beeswax, Gamsol and a small amount of alkyd resin, formulated to knife consistency. Rather than by cooling the wax, Cold Wax dries by solvent evaporation (Gamsol).
When combined with oil colors, Cold Wax produces thicker colors and provides a more matte finish. Gamblins Cold Wax Medium can also be used to give Gamblin mediums and Gamvar a more matte finish or applied alone as a matte varnish.
