Gamblins Linseed Stand Oil is a thickened version of their original Refined Linseed Oil. When modifying oil colors with this stand oil, artists will notice an increase of flow and gloss, while slowing drying times.
Colors mixed with Gamblins Linseed Stand Oil will dry to a smooth, enamel-like finish. Gamblin recommends using sparingly or mix with equal parts Gamsol to create a more traditional, slow-drying, high-viscosity painting medium.
