GOLDEN Fluid Matte Medium is popular among artists for extending acrylic colors, increasing translucency, all while decreasing gloss without affecting a colors viscosity. GOLDEN Fluid Matte Medium is also a suitable replacement for a translucent gessoe.

This 100% pure acrylic, pourable medium is formulated using matting solids resulting in less sheen. When mixed with high-gloss acrylic colors, GOLDEN Fluid Matte Medium will not produce a fully matte finish. Instead it will significantly decrease gloss rather than have a true matte finish. Per GOLDENs suggestion, GOLDEN Super Matte Medium should be used in this instance.
