This 24-color metal box set offers highly pigmented colors with a dry, charcoal-like feel that's ideal for drawing, layering, blending, and expressive pastel techniques.
The colors can be blended and smudged dry using your fingertips or a blending stump, making it easy to create soft transitions, atmospheric shading, and painterly effects. CarbOthello performs beautifully on dark backgrounds and specialty papers, where its rich pigmentation can produce especially dramatic results.
The pigments are also partially water-soluble. Work them with a brush and water for additional effects while the original contours remain visible. STABILO recommends treating finished artwork with a suitable fixative for best results.
