SAUNDERS WATERFORD WATERCOLOR PAPER – COLD-PRESSED WHITE – 4-DECKLE – 300GSM – 22" X 30" – SINGLE SHEET
Saunders Waterford® is a professional-quality watercolor paper traditionally made by St Cuthberts Mill in England. Crafted from 100% cotton on a cylinder mould machine, it combines exceptional durability, archival permanence, and a beautifully responsive surface suitable for demanding watercolor techniques.
The Cold-Pressed (NOT) surface is created using natural woolen felts, giving each sheet its characteristic random texture. This versatile surface provides enough tooth to enhance granulation and expressive brushwork while remaining controlled enough for fine details and smooth washes.
The paper is internally and externally sized for strength and resilience, allowing artists to work with repeated washes and more aggressive techniques such as scrubbing, lifting, and scraping without easily damaging the surface.
Manufactured to high archival standards, Saunders Waterford is acid-free and buffered with calcium carbonate to help protect finished artwork against discoloration caused by acids and atmospheric pollutants.
